Gill Grady of GSE Systems to Serve on Panel at St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in Russia
Grady to join international leaders to discuss crisis, disaster management
SYKESVILLE, Md., June 20, 2013 − Gill Grady, senior vice president at GSE Systems Inc., will serve as a panelist at the 2013 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, June 20 to 22, 2013 in St. Petersburg, Russia.
The 2013 forum, “Finding Resolve to Build the New Global Economy”, will provide a platform for government and business leaders to address a variety of global economic issues, including economic recovery, crisis management, debt management, food security and political challenges. The annual forum, held under the auspices of the President of the Russian Federation, attracts more than 5,000 business, government and political leaders and scientists each year.
Drawing on more than 30 years of experience in business development, leadership, human resources and operations in the energy and process industries, Grady will bring his expertise to a panel on. “The Economics of Managing Major Catastrophes.” Panelists will address the growing costs of natural and man-made disasters, and how technological advances and financial incentives can help governments and businesses reduce risks and prevent or manage crises.
“Technology can play a significant role in safe design and operation of industrial facilities to combat the effects of both natural and man-made disasters.” Grady said. “I am looking forward to sharing information and working with the other panelists on this issue.”
With more than 32 years of simulation experience, Grady has held various leadership roles at GSE Systems. Prior to his current position, he served as senior vice president in charge of operations for the company’s nuclear energy work in Eastern Europe and oil and gas operations worldwide. He has held senior management positions and performed various administrative functions including business operations, project management, investor relations, human resources, contract administration and information technology. Grady earned a bachelor of science in marketing from the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Va., in 1980.
